I'm looking at a 2006 Honda 4 stroke 75 HP for my 17' Whaler. The seller purchased it from his boss 18 or so months ago and has hardly used it since then; he believes the motor to have 30-50 hours on it. Motor has been for sale for several weeks and the price has been lowered to a very decent $3800. I know nothing about these motors and would greatly appreciate any advise as to what to look for when I do get to see it. Motor is on a boat and is available for a run on the lake. Want to go have a look, it's a couple hundred miles away, this weekend and time is of the essence. Thanks in advance. Vince Zappia
You might ask Bottomfish if he isn't in Mexico fishing, He has a 90hp. I have a Suzuki DF 70 on my Montauk. I would have to say I would go for the Honda 75. I think Honda is first cabin all the way IMHO
