Hello,
Does anyone know the dimensions of a mid 70s 17' Montauk console. The previous
owner mutilated the original on my boat, so I need to find an appropriate aftermarket replacement or build a new one myself.

I cannot give you exact dimension of the standard Montauk console from the 1970s, but I can give you the dimensions of the standard console from the Montauks made in the 1980s. I believe the consoles had the same overall dimensions.
The base of the console measures 33 inches wide and 27 inches fore and aft.
The console tappers upwards a bit so that the width at the top of the console is 30 inches.
The overall height of the console is 35 inches.
The height of the flat portion of the top is 33 inches off the floor.
