I have located a used PT&T that appears to fit my motor. It is from a V4 Johnson and I have a V4 Evinrude.
Both of the tilt pistons have the packing seals visible and both seals appear to be blown. I can make a tool to remove the packing nut but can I find the rebuild kits for these pistons for a vintage mid '80s unit?
If a rebuild kit isn't available, you could try purchasing o-rings from just about anywhere. Check around your area for someone that works on hydraulic systems and pick their brain on the seal and rings.
