J Taylor, I am so sorry you lost your father. I lost mine 10 years ago July 5th and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him at least once. We don't know how much we really appreciate someone in our lives until they are gone.

The pain of losing someone never goes away, it simply fades a little each day......but never disapeers. Have faith in Him to get you through these times.

Sorry for your loss. I pray that time will lessen the pain, I know that it did for me. Each day remember one thing that you did together and smile. Meet the day headon knowing the happiness and joy that you shared. Be well and God Bless. Time heals.

I`m sorry for your loss. The best thing you can do for your mother, is to be there for her, and tell her you love her. I hope you have siblings that can help too. Years ago my Dad passed away from a heart attack just when he and my Mom were about to retire. They had sold their house and had a new one waiting for them in Florida. She had to come down alone, and knew no one in the state. It was a rough time for her and everyone else, but she got through it. The inner strength is what gets a person through these bad times.

I would like to express my condolences also.

It can be difficult to see ahead so just take it a day at a time.

Very sorry j. I haven't gone through that yet but I know I will. Be there for your Mom. She was with him before you. God bless.

My condolences on your loss. I lost my dad to a plane crash in 1968. To this day I still feel the pain. The pain never goes away, you just learn to deal with it. As long as you remember and honor him, he will always walk beside you.

Hey j, so sorry to hear of your loss. Saturday will be six years without my Dad. I hated hearing this, but time does heal. It really does. Be thankful of what he did for you, and go out and make him proud. They are always with us, watching, and probably laughing some too. Be strong for your Mother. You are in my prayers.

On a more positive note, I'm coming from All Joy to Shelter Cove tomorrow morning to pick up a friend and do some lunch by water. Haven't picked the place yet. Send me an email with your number if you want to have a beer somewhere. Be well, my friend. zotcha.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and I do hope that time does help. Things are alittle bettter now. I do think of him alot more and realize that he must have known that time was getting closer by a few things that were said days prior. Regardless ,it helps me to think that he is in a better place and pain free.Thank you

just went trout fishing with my gramp on a pond up above the lake after a hike I wasn't sure he could make. I was feeling a little lazy on vacation and didn't really feel like going, but I did. Had a great day and am so glad we spent the time together as I don't know how many more trips will happen. He kept saying what a bummer it was that we only caught one 10 inch trout. It wouldn't have mattered to me if we caught any. Think of the good times!
