Does anyone know if the 2006 + Merc 115's 4S have have a knock sensor?? I'm trying to determine what octane fuel to use for max performance!!!

No knock sensor, believe your motor manual says to use minimum of 87 and premium can also be used.

If there is no performance to be gained by using 87 +, why use it?? Does anyone one know compresion ratio on this engine???
