Ordered a new Continental trailer for my 1998 Daunteless 15. The old one finally got past the point of prudent repair after 16years...RIP. Should be back on the road next week.

Made the appointment today to get my very first Whaler out of storage...next week it goes in the water. Picture me excited and happier than a clam.

Connected a Fusion Bluetooth module to my Fusion MS-RA50. Very easy to install.... well other than trying to twist and get access to the far side of a 17 Montauk console. Connected right up to my I 5 phone. Going to be very convenient with phone and Ipod.

Finished sanding RPS wood, looking not so bad after 35 years of neglect, gave one coat of stain, looks even better, varnish will start on the weekend.

Started stripping bright red paint off of sump cover and front anchor hatch, yes bright red, go figure what previous owner was thinking.

On 3/19/2015 I wen to APF Manufacturing in Hauppauge, NY to review and pick out Flexiteek flooring for the Helm, Cockpit and Swim Platforms, and Rosewood Flooring for the Cabin, for my first ever Boston Whaler, a 2015 Conquest 285. We also went over the top with a spending spree and added a Flir MD625 (thermal nightvision), two 12'' Garmin 7212 Chartplotters/Fishfinders, KVH Satellite Tracvision TV1, Garmin HD Radar... and then hit West Marine for some safety equipment and a brand new 6' fiberglass dock box... When we got home, we went online and designed our own vinyl lettering/logo for the Dock Box. Will be SUPER Excited once we get our boat delivered so everything can get installed!!!!

The snow melted enough for me to go take a walk around my Montauk...just wanted to check on the shrink wrap. It help up well, no holes, there was a LOT of snow on it...not bad considering it's the second year I've used it!

The new Continental EW1515V trailer came in on Friday and we picked our boat up on Saturday. Unfortunately the boat had sat out in the elements for almost 2 weeks. Some of that time was without the cover on it and the Oak trees did there job on it. % hours cleaning required to bring our baby back to show condition. The Trailer fits perfectly and it tows much better than the 17 year old original Continental. Smaller 480 X12 wheels means a little lower profile which makes it easier to get into the garage. All in all, well worth the purchase price.

Bob, I use a product called SLX, made by St. Lucie Chemical Co. I believe. All I have to do is get an old wash cloth, terry cloth material , and squeeze out some on the cloth and just wipe it on and the stain literally disappear with no scrubbing. It is a mild acid and it will let you know if you have any cuts on your hands soon. After wards I wash with regular boat soap and water, dry and then polish or wax.

I charged the battery, primed the engine and fired her up. After a full year of restoration, she is slated to go into the water on Friday for the start of the 2015 season. It was the end to a long list of repairs. 1976 - 2015 and looking as good as ever.

In prep for our planned (but no date set as of yet) summer long trip down the Columbia and up the coast of WA and into Canadian waters I put set of bow cleats on my 2010 13' SuperSport.

I also picked up the tow line assembly for it. It includes a bridle that mounts to the stern of the tow boat plus two tow lines (one 50' and one 100') and a 6' section that will be somewhat permanently attached to the bow eye so we don't have to swim under the bow to attach a tow line.

I'm going to have the same company (Top Knot) make another bridle that will attach to the two new cleats and pass through the thimble at the front end of the 6' section. That will spread the load of the tow between three points (bow eye and two cleats).
