Before 1986 you could pay extra for the optional fiberglass gunwales. About 1986, the fiberglass gunwales were standard and you had to pay extra for the optional teak gunwales. Apparently teak got more expensive through the years as opposed to making them out of fiberglass.

Member Posts: 2 Comments: 0 Joined: 10/04/08	My question was about the newer V 20 18 degree hull if that had a porposing problem as an 87 20 currently for sale shows a dolefin as correcting the problem I believe this boat is currently listed on Whaler Central.
