ioptfm is correct for the newer model ignition switch assemblies by BRP.

There is only one version of the assembly that I know of that has the key switch and the lanyard in the same unit.
Again, see this article and look at the #176408 single key switch with lanyard.

Roger should have this exact same key switch and lanyard already installed in his binnacle.
All he would need to do is remove the key switch assembly and buy the switch plate that is shown in the above article. Install the new plate on the boat in one of his old holes and then install the key switch assembly into the new face plate... Done.

And to fill the other old hole, a warning horn grill would fit the bill nicely.
We are looking at roughly $4 or $5 for each face plate plus shipping from you dealer.

I just looked up the part number for the single key switch bezel (face plate)
It is part #127083 but I would check with the dealer to make sure.

The horn bezel (face plate) is part #174970

You can view all these part numbers on BRP Online Parts Catalog.

Joe, I sure appreciate your input. You make this stuff seem so simple and inexpensive. I would have never thought of doing that and your way is obviously the right way to do it.

Roger,

Glad to help.
I am getting all my parts ready for when I buy a new E-Tec.

I purchased the single key and lanyard assembly like the one in my article and like the one you are going to have when you end up buying the face plate.

Like your boat, my boat also has the two original holes. One for the key switch and one for the lanyard. I will be replacing those with the single key and lanyard assembly and also the warning horn grill.
All I need now is the E-Tec....
