Speed is from GPS equipped depth finder and RPM number is generally where the boat topped out. Really anywhere from 4700-4900. I trimmed it as far out as I could get it w/o ventillation. Not sure exactly where the cavitation plate was in relation to the water. Probably need a partner to look while I drive. I don't have a pic of it anchored w/ motor trimmed down but I'm headed back down to the river next weekend and can snap a few as well as try to get a bit more exact w/ speed, RPMs, and plate location.

Did you have this engine installed by a dealer? I know the dealer that installed mine had to provide documentation to BRP on the setup / WOT RPM, etc. to validate the warranty. It would not have left their shop if it was only turning 4,800 RPM WOT in my case. I guess my point is that as a new engine that should be under full factory warranty, I would suggest returning to the installing dealer to make sure that there is not a mechanical issue that is limiting your WOT RPM. If they changed the binnacle control, is it hitting anything under the console that may make it feel like you have it wide open but are actually not opening the engine throttle all the way? It could be a simple adjustment of the throttle cables. You should be turning 5,200 to 5,400 RPM with that prop and height combination.

i had the same issue with my 75 horse etec repower, has anyone told you to check (for lack of the correct term) the fin behind the prop, it is adjustable in the clockwise direction, my 16'7" turned incredibly hard to right with the fin in the straight aft position, i moved it three stops,(you will see marked #s as to how far to turn it) problem gone, straight teleflex steering, stainless 15 pitch prop, it's like a new boat
