it s always very interesting for me personally to see how involved u guys will get in restoring and working on your rigs. chuba, thats quite an undertaking..good for you, very impressive..and ritzy.. i agree , its therapeutic for me to work on my boat..isnt it great to have such a hobby..thanks all for chiming in..
i busted my butt today taking all the upholstery off and my wonderful wife cleaned those while I started cleaning up the hull and transom..also i found that starbrite non skid deck cleaner works great..

Finished fiberglassing the rigging tunnel in place on my 1979 sport/custom 15 footer. All that's left is the sprue hole in the bow locker.

Well it's been awhile, but I purchased a couple new deep cycle batteries and a wireless remote for the bow mounted power guide Minn kota. It works terrific.

My 24 gallon Moeller on the Montauk 170 was leaking out of the top. I replaced the gasket where the gauge is, but that didn't help, so I bought the new 22 gallon Moeller made for the Montuak 170. It arrived yesterday. I pulled the old tank out. I need to fill in some holes and re-locate the brackets where the straps will be. The new tank fits under the seat a lot better. Ought to have it done by this weekend.

I got the trailer and boat registered. I'm going to take her out tonight. The first time in the water in over 4 years. Wish me luck.

Installed 2 spring line or center fender cleats in the gunwale of the 2008 Montauk 150 yesterday. Turned out nice and just 15 minuted for each. Drilling the 7/8" hole and the 2 screw holes each.
I know I'll like it.
See bad picturesa (I had to take them under the cover this morning so "blind" taking. I'll take a picture this weekend while boating showing a better view.

Put on new stainless steel bow light, chock and cleat pin on my 1972 16. About wore all the chrome off the old bronze one. Also added Mariner ProSport 8 2 bank battery charger, the previous one died, but it was still under warranty and Mariner replaced it.

Finally found a used gas tank mat for it. The color is different, but, at least I have it. Maybe I will paint it. I also finished installing the new rub rail, just in time for the shrink wrap guys to wrap it up tomorrow! What a shame.

Got my Blue Sea Fuse Block in today.
http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-System...fuse+block
Bought some 10/2 wire to go from the battery to fuse block on the back side of the console. 30amp inline fuse, heat shrink connections with some liquid tape.
After installing the fuse block, I was able to install a 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter style) and move my GPS off the battery terminals and onto the fuse block.
I just glued some 3/4" painted plywood to the inside of the console to mount fuse block and power supply. Wired tied everything up neatly and looks good. Nice to clean up the wiring at the battery a little.
With wire, connectors, fuses, etc. probably around $60

Gave a clinic on wet sanding.
400 grit to the inner top side going clockwise from Starboard to Port and getting special attention to the top cap section.
Good thing will reside in the fact that once the work moves toward completion my patience will be armed and ready to tackle scrubbing my driveway with a toothbrush and feeling fully confident and trained for the detail.

Yesterday I put my 15 SS project in the water for a first time. This boat had not been run in over four years. The motor ran smooth at all speeds. I had raised it two holes. Had a little glitch with the steering which will be next weeks project. Philpott Lake was beautiful as the fall colors are starting to show. 1988 15 SS with 60 HP Johnson
