Got the old girl home in the driveway for the season, took her for a few high speed manuver's to clear out the carb's before reaching the ramp, she ran GREAT in the "Crisp" fall air, of course it was the most "spectacular" sun soaked warm day on the Bay. The trailer bearings were nice and quiet after the change out for the ride home, and the trailer light's worked perfectly, A BIG THANK'S to all that helped me, no more crossing the finger's and praying that the bearing's won't fail, or worrying that someone will smash into the back of my boat because, of "NO" brake lights, or non-functioning signals.

I'd like to add the B/W stern light (full 360* view), it's safer than the smaller set up I have now. I'm going to change out the W/P, lower unit oil, plug's, fuel filter, and stat. I was thinking of adding an OEM Bow light too (you guy's are turning me into a "Purist", lol). We really got to enjoy our little "Whaler" this year, kid's had a blast, we found a remote sand Bar beach w/ a shallow lagoon (our secret spot) where the kid's learned swimming, and snokeling. We found crab's, snail's, and learned about the Bay, all on a few gallon's of fuel, a sm. cooler, and a few sandwiches from our favorite Italian Deli. I can't stress enough "Thank's" to our member's and staff for guiding me through the repair's that I've never done before, my confidence and skill level's have been greatly raised. We were able to stay on the water, and out of the shop, and the saving's were "HUGE" !

Matt, like you, I replaced my stern light to a higher one I originally had (Wal mart type). I'm glad I have the higher hieght and visibility in low light conditions. Also, the higher pole on the light provides a perfect American Flag mast while we're underway too.

As for the original bow light, I'm very glad to have replaced mine to the bow light chock bit as when I anchor and tie off to the bow norman pin, the rope fits nicely between the light and one of the pins on the light.

The word "season" puts a knot in my stomach. I don't know how you all up North deal with it. Yeah, I'll endure some blistering hot days in July, but I really do enjoy a refreshing day on the lake in February.

Glad the trailer is worked out. It's tough spending time and money on something that doesn't improve the boat's performance, usability, or looks, however as many of us know - none of that matters if you can't move.
