It sounds like you already have the info.
What else do you want to know about the below items?
Whaler Drive
Fiberglass Gunwales
Super Console
Just comparing compartments/storage/consoles/engine hp. I read up on WD. Seems like a big plus - making the boat 24'2", while having enough buoyancy to offset the engine weight further back.
Boat isn't listed. I left my number for the owner, not expecting a call back, and well - he called... seeming really motivated to sell.
I know the floor needs redone - and I guess the tank may need a good looking at while the floor is out. The boat lived in FL for 15 years on a lift, so it needs a lot of cosmetic TLC. The steering is really sloppy - and it needs new cables - maybe helm. The work isn't too scary (partial thanks to you guys)- I enjoy it as much as running these old boats.
My wife likes it which is usually more than half the battle. When I mentioned the price, she said "well aren't the engines like each worth more than that?"
I told the guy I need some time to seriously consider. I have landed a good job, so finances have settled. I can pay cash for the boat. Trouble is - I love my Montauk, and I've got it just about where I dreamed it would be (maybe further) when I bought it 18 months ago. I have been considering an Etec. All of the economies of a 17, including fitting in my garage for easy access to work anytime are huge pluses. That said - a classic Outrage 22 with twins has been the ultimate Whaler in my book.
I'm kinda thinking of picking it up. Not selling the Montauk - because the market stinks now. Do some initial work on the 22, and make a decision in a year or so, as to which one serves me better.
Sorry for rambling. This feels like a therapy session. I'm sure some of you have been in the same spot though.

Cape Dory 28
Hobie 20 Miracle
A Class Catamaran
My wife and I tried them all out.
We decided on the Outrage 18'.
Since then we tired another 1986 Outrage 18' with twins.
Another 1989 Outrage 20'
Another 1989 Outrage 22' Cuddy
I liked all the Whalers we had but the best one that fit our needs was the Outrage 18'...
I also really liked the Outrage 22' Cuddy but my wife told me she was never going to sleep in it with me. I wanted to tell here "I was sure going to miss her" but then I figured if I told her that I would be sleeping in the Cuddy the rest of my life instead of in the house.
Unless I move to much bigger water, the Outrage 18' is it for us...
I don't have a full transom Outrage 22, but I do have a full transom Outrage 25, and the configuration and construction of both boats is fairly similar, especially since mine has the standard console, RPS, front cooler seat (162Qt) and Mills Flying Top system. It also has the factory Bow Pulpit option, which is not as common.
Instead of the Whaler Drive, mine has an Armstrong bracket, but the concept is similiar. My was ordered from the factory as a Sea Drive Blank model. Take a look:
