I'm looking at some 1998 23' outrages and i've come across the same issue on two boats. if you're in the boat, looking back toward the transom, the right and left side of the boat have a gap in the rear panel (see attached picture). to be more specific, this is the panel that is where the deck wash valve come out of the transom. the one boat that i'm looking at has this gap caulked up, the other boat simply had a gap. Are either of these boats anything to worry about? And is the caulk something to worry about?
