I have a 1970 Sakonnet and want to make a new Coast Guard capacity plate. I have been able to locate info on the max motor capacity (100), the max number of persons (7 @ 150# ea) Max swamped capacity (2000#) but not the max weight capacity (persons, motor and gear). Does anyone have that info?

My '69 Sokonnet which we have had since new never had a Coast Guard Capacity plate like what is shown on the downloads page. It came with a thin foil stick-on sticker that was a BIA rating. As I recall it was 100HP, 10 persons, 2000lbs swamped. I'll look and see if the plate is still in the motor well.
In 1970, the Sakonnet did not have a combined max weight (persons, motor and gear) capacity rating but it did have a ridiculous 10 persons capacity rating.
Thanks Tom, I wonder how they came up with a 10 persons capacity. I think I will stay with the numbers stated on the downloaded plate for the 17. It makes a lot more sense
