Any problem with weight of 40 HP Yamaha 4-stroke on thies 1988 13' sport?

How fast might it go?

Can we water ski or wake board with this engine and boat?

Thanks!

I have an 48 Evinrude on my 13 and it pulls the kids skiing, kneeboarding, and tubing with no problem. It also pulls my wife on the tube and kneeboard. I imaging your motor is heavier, and has less HP, but should do fine for kids or small adults. Just make sure you get a good ski pulley.
