Looking to get a canvas console cover for my 150 Montauk. I know about Mills but is there a less expensive alternative?
I'm not real happy with my Mills Mooring cover anyway. The inside edge is un-raveling like crazy as they left the raw edge exposed. It should have been turned under and then stitched. Dunno how to stop it now cuz there's not enough to turn under unless I rip out the double line of stitching below it. That stitch line won't stop the raveling though...
I had a console cover made by a local canvas shop. It was around $300 and I'm very happy with it. It is the last picture on my personal page (click to the left).
A Good canvass shop will ALWAYS "Triple stitch" and use "Sunbrella" fabric, it won't be a bargain either $ $ $. Quality canvass work can get expensive but, it will last longer.
