well after heming and hawing over the water dripping out of my hull,i can rest. I picked the boat up at the end of the season last year,I purchased it without actually seeing it,it was delivered from south Delaware. When it arrived I was a bit concerned about its condition. Chunks missing from the keel, grey bumpy teak,no working lights, one motor not running correctly, rusty roller trailer, and some other small issues. Needless to say I wasent very happy. So with the help of the great people on this site I worked on her all winter and brouht her back to life, all without knowing if she was waterlogged. I was concerned because of the water dripping out of an old repair in the stern under the bow and some old holes in the stern.
Well I launched her yesterday for a shakedown cruise and the stern didnt sit too low in the water and the motors ran great. She also looks and sounds incredible!!
Just to top it off myself and 2 others went out fishing today and had a blast,7 large 8-10lb blues and a 26" striper! Not a bad start. So thanks to all, for their advice and what sometimes seems like counseling, that helped me get to this point. I have learned alot and am now a true Classic Whaler Fanatic!
