Member Posts: 5 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/22/08	Hi, I have 2 questions : - I'm working on a classic Montauk (1974), and i can't find any information about the foam : is-it a styrofoam one or polyurethane one ? - As the GelCoat is cracked on the Deck, can i use Epoxy Primer + epoxy paint directly on the used gel coat (after cleaning, gripping) ? Thanx for your help !!!

I'm not to familiar on prep work for gel coat but from what I have seen it appears that you prep similar to paint with the exception that you leave the area to be gel coated rougher (finishing with a more coarse grit sand paper) than when you prep for paint. 1963 13' Sport 50hp Evinrude Maintaining a level of sanity that is socially acceptable
