I want to buy a rubrail with out breaking the bank, any suggestions. I want to put a rub rail with a rope insert.
I appreciate any help or referral to a web site.
A standard rubrail is about $110 from Twin Cities Marine. They are a Whaler dealer. I think you will find that rubrails with a rope center are too wide for the 13 footer.
This probably qualifies as breaking the bank but Hamilton Marine has the 3/4 round dacron rubrail on sale at 5.99 per foot. Sounds expensive but is 9.99 per foot in places like West Marine (if you can get it).
Not traditional in the Boston Whaler sense but highly traditional as a 'working boat' concept. I would guess also more durable than anything else you can use.
