Romd,

Me too, I'm also 95 percent complete with my 18 Outrage. With any luck I can launch and test this Saturday or most likely Sunday.

Just looked at your photos -- wow you practically built from scratch.

good luck

thanks Bob i appreciate the comments... the gel coat cost a few buck but i purchased the boat for a good deal i think anyway...and to buy a 25' with the way i have i it rigged would have cost me alot more than what i have into it....plus i have a bonus it's a classicSmile

I've been meaning to ask if you're going to install the T-top again or leave it off?

Pic's look great, any chance you'll post some of the console and the new mahogany gunwales in more detail?

Hi RevengeFamily this is from an earlier post about the fire that we experienced...Also thanks for the picture comments..""On friday the 13th of june my son and I went to put my boat in the water for the first time of the season. A couple of days before I had the boat started so not to make a fool out of myself at the ramp and there were no problems. Anyway Jake and I stopped at the hess station for gas and the gas attendent told me they were out of gas but i could try and fill up. I was down to only 50 gallons so I went and put another 50 in for a fill. The whole time im filling I just thought with the price of gas I was getting jipped because I was getting the bottom of the barrel and when I finished they closed down the pumps. We left the station and went directly to the ramp. We backed the boat off the trailer and while my son was holding the boat i parked my truck. Than i jumped in the boat and turned the key and just like the movies the boat exploded it blew me up into the ttop and i got stitches and my son kept yelling for me to get out of the boat because i was on fire finally i snapped out of it and rolled onto the dock and into the water. My son was a hero to me that night and with all that happed i only walked away with a few stitches and no burns..God blessed me that night and thats why friday the 13th was a lucky night for me.

First of all the boat looks fabulous. My kind of 25, with real gelcoat, no bottom paint, no tee top and twin engines.

As one who has been trailering a 25 Outrage all over the place for 20 years, well over 100,000 miles, the only thing I can say is I think the trailer is too short for the boat. Particularly, the wheels are way too far forward, and she will fishtale all over the road on you in that location. A boat that size fishtaling you don't want! Move the wheel carriage back as far as you can, and you may be alright. Also pull the boat as far forward on the trailer as you can.

Here's mine on the trailer:

Also see the 4th photo here:

Good luck in your travels. You will love the boat. According to the Commercial Products guys, it's the best hull Whaler ever designed. Which is why they're still making and selling them.
