Has anyone had any experience using the bow and stern lifting eyes to hoist a 13 whaler out of the water?

I had one that I lifted with a davit using those points and never had a problem. Make sure they are secured properly to the boat however

I used those eyes to lift and flip mine in the garage. No problems.

I don't see an issue doing that.

Used the lifting eye on the bow and the D rings on the stern to lift with davits. No problem!

Thanks for the replies.Finding the balance point is the biggest problem.Had it down pretty good with my son's 13 with a 25hp on it then I hoisted mine with a 35hp and it came up bow up so I guess I ned to adjust the balance point.

Any recomendations on davits? I am looking at this option rather than a lift to store the 13 when I finish the restore. I would prefer a manual lift, since I don't have electric to the dock.

I had good luck lifting my 11 footer. No problems. I left it hanging that way several winters in the boat house. But, like the writer below mentions, be sure that all the eyes, particularly the ones in front, are secure. You have to look on the hull to insure that the eye in the front is okay.
Good luck.
