I bought an push/pull switch for my lights but I'm not sure how to wire it? Question is, Do I just connect the positive wires to the plug (from the light and to the fuse panel?)

Something like this...

Thanks.

easy rule of thumb,
one wire each from the lights to the switch, one wire each from lights to the battery, one wire from positive side of the battery to the switch

What about your stern light, is that going to be in the circuit also?

dave just ask a good question.............If you are planning to use the switch that you have illustrated then you will not be able to control bow and stern lights independently. To make them work properly you wiill need a switch like the one in the link.........Off.............Bow & Stern Light On.............Stern light On...............

I had planned on using it with the stern light as well, I figure if I need one light on I'll need them both.

The reason there is a 2 position switch is when you are running you would have the Bow and the Stern light on. When you are at anchor then you would only have the Stern light on.
