What size Trim Tabs do you suggest for a 22 Outrage I/O?

Im thinking about adding trim tabs to my 1982 Outrage 22 I/O. Do you think the Bennett M80 8X10 is big enough or do i need the M120 10X12?
Thanks

I would actually recommend the Lenco 9x12's. The lenco's are fully motorized and do not require messing with hydraulic lines and a reservoir. They are what I installed on my 22 Outrage and loved them.

I have been thinking about putting them on my 25'. Jeff, would that size work for it?

My guess would be yes. These tabs worked Great on the 22 but I would say they may have even been a bit overkill for it however they were the recommended size. Infact Buckda (Dave) uses the edge mount 9x12's on his 18. Should be great on a 25 or you could try going up to the 9x18.

Thanks Jeff, they look like they fit nicely between the side of the boat and the bump out. How long have you had them and have you had any problems? Also i like the bottom paint. Is that custom?

Have a great weekend

I had them on that boat for a season before I sold the boat. No problems and they were great. We installed the lenco retrofit kit on my fathers 22 Guardian the same season after his bennett tabs died. They have been problem free.

The bottom paint is a custom mixed color. I have a local manufacture make it for me. I used to be able to ship it however, it is next to impossible these days unless I get a Haz-mat shipping license.

I have 8x10 Bennett tabs on my Conquest 23 IO. They work, but I wish they were a bit larger.

I'm considering an upgrade to the M120 this year.

go big. I also put the Lenco 9x12 edge mounts on my 18, basically centered in the space. Measure from the edge of the boat to the cutout and then go with the size the fits.

Has anyone tried the Volvo Trim System?
