Does anyone know if the Faria 55 MPH boat speedometers are any good? I just picked up a new, never used and still in the box from Ebay for $23.00 and was wondering if I got ripped off.
Comments?

Wow, thanks! Well the only gauge I do have is a speedometer and it reads up to 85 mph and is not OEM so when I am cruising at about 30mph (which is about my max speed), it barely registers on it. So I wanted a speedometer that would more accurately show my water speed so that is why I wanted another speedometer with a speed range of approx 10-55mph.
I guess though the Faria is not a Whaler specific gauge, is it a good quality instrument? Thanks for the input.

As far as I know Boston Whaler never made any gauges.
I have seen a fuel gauge with Boston Whaler logo on it but I assume some other company made it for Boston Whaler.
Like most all other items, there are less expensive and more expensive gauges made by the same company. If your gauge says OMC by faria, then it is most likely the better quality. If it just says faria on it, then we don't really know what quality it is without doing research using the part number on the gauge if it has one.
I would just install it and see how it works. As long as you like the way it looks and performs, that's what counts.
