my fathers 17' floor looks like the PO painted it with a mop!!! so he has asked me to ask you guys "how do you remove paint from the floor"?
you cant sand it b/c of the non-slip surface so what is the best method?

try a pressure washer. if you can't lift it you may have to put a paint remover on it to loosen the paint.

Soy Strip and a pressure washer. You may have to repeat a few times but the pressure washer will blast it out of the non-skid. Then a dremel tool for the hard spots.

Boydog, Soy strip is a soy based paint remover. I found out about it from this site. It is made by Franmar, franmar.com. You can find a local distributor on their web site or they can ship it to you. I used it on my bottom paint and it worked great. You can see pics on my project page of me pressure washing off bottom paint. Also stripper applied with plastic on top allowing it to work. good luck
