Does anyone have an idea of what I could do to turn the center rear hatch on my '88, 22' Outrage, into a "dry" hatch? There is a drain plug that can be inserted to prevent water from coming in to the hatch from the exterior. However, it is possible for water to drain into the hatch from the top when the deck gets wet.
Thanks for the help.

If you are talking about the splashwell, you don't want to make that dry. (Edit, looked at your personal page and you dont have a full transom so its not that.) which leaves my intended advice pretty useless. Sorry about that.

I am not sure about the 22', but that is a baitwell on my 25'. I use a Yeti cooler that sits over that hatch for storage....hopefully storage of big fish returning from offshore. I am not sure you could ever keep that completely dry.

I have a wooden hatch cover on my bait well.
For added removal you can install a small bilge pump with float that will drain any unwanted waters.
Keep your batteries charged though.

That fishwell will never be "dry".

Good luck.
