WoW!!! Wish I could fish with you guys. I was out fishing this past weekend and only caught a little guy. When I got my Whaler home, I found a six inch crack in my hull.....so I am out of the water for the season, until I can fix it.

Good luck!

JVZ - I am not much for fresh water fishing but a nice day out on the lake sounds good. My wife and I are already committed to 2 other fund raisers this weekend -- the bad thing about small towns. We are in the Animal Shelter Haunted House and the private school my kids are in have Fall Festival this weekend. Love to give back but I have not seen the coast once this month and it is killing me.

The Weikel's are good friends of mine. If you ever need some sent your way just give me a few days notice and I will get them for you.

Good luck in the Tourney!

Hi Guys. I live in Roswell, GA so I won't make this one, but I would love to see some pictures. I love TX and Lake Travis is on my list of places to visit. Garey

I have a timeshare at a place in Lakeway on Lake Travis. Spend a week there every July. Can't beat it.

It is a really nice lake. I have never fished there -- well in college I "fished" there. But we weren't using rods and reels to catch these snappers. Wink

The "other fishing" is still amazing on Lake Travis ! You can catch em @ Carlos & Charlies,..or devil's cove,.. and they are not the big ones -

Rob, What great friends to have , i love Weikel's,.. that carrot cake and those banana cream pies,... ooooooh weee ! Oh and those fresh sandwiches.

Jeff, I hope you were using a "Rod" to catch those fresh water snappers, not sure what else you'd be using. Wink

Yeah that lake had several species that were common on weekends. I remember catching:

Pink Snapper
Sucker Fish
Bearded Clams

I never did myself but I knew a few guys that even caught a few whales out there every now and then. Shock

Rob, you have me rolling in tears here. Back in my Navy days we went Whaling first thing.....just to guarantee a catch. But that only happened in remote areas where the fishing was scarce.
