I recently installed some ropelights under the gunnels of my outrage 18 and since then my bow and stern lights will not work.

When I purchased the ropelights, i also purchased new bow lights (which have been tested and both work). When i connect them to the wires that go through the hull and connect them to the battery, i get no light.

There are 2 wires on the Starboard side behind the side panel and go into the hull of the boat from the CC (I am assuming they go through the hull and come out to the port and starboard lights???)

I am wondering if maybe I could have severed the wires with the coat hanger when I was fishing the ropelights to the CC???

My rope lights work greatWink, but now I have now Bow or Stern lights!!!Sad

Can anyone help???

Thank you in advance!!!

You might start with this article.

The wires to the bow lights and stern light are 2 separate sets of wires.

The bow light wires go to starboard side panel, out through the hull and into the rub rail track. They then go forward to the bow.

The stern light wires go down the rigging tunnel to the stern light.

So, it seems that you have 2 sets of wires either broken or have come loose from the light switch.
