just a few lines to introduce myself. My name is Carlos and I'm in the Houston area.
I have a restored 1972 13' supersport that I have just about finished.
I have always enjoyed being on the water and always wanted a Whaler.
Now I have one.
I bought this boat with a trailer for $350.00, now several thousand later, it's perfect for my needs.
I hope to meet some of the members one day as I like to get out as much as possible.
I have made several posts without introducing myself...I wanted to finish my project before I did this.
Thanks for letting me come onboard.
Anyway, here is a link to my boat.

Los - looks great! Nice boat customized exactly how you wanted it rigged. You will find most of the TX guys on here have met or know who each other are. Here is a LINK to his boat pics.

Carlos,
Muy bueno! Looks great. You did a really good job on her. On each side of your splash well the area seems raised. Is that standard?

Great looking job, Los, Did you re gel coat or paint the hull. I like your choice of engine too. How long did you spend restoring her?

Fantastic job on the restoration! I'm sure you will have years of enjoyment with her. It is so rewarding to see someone bring an old girl back to life! Grin

Thanks to all for your comments.
To answer a few questions, the splashwell is original. I have looked at other boats and they seem to have the same well. The boat has been re-gelcoated by RLwhaler, a member on this site. It was truly a blessinmg to find him.
He does great work without any hassles..friendly too.
I think he has 8 whalers.
It took about 4 1/2 months to the maiden voyage.
Since the maiden voage I have moved the battery fwd. of the front seat ot help balance the boat, repositioned the rodholders 180 degrees to clear some deck space, and installed a chartplotter.
I'll add more pictures this afternoon.
Once again thanks for your kind comments.

Very nice boat. We will probably try to have another Whaler fishing trip out of Port Aransas this fall. We would love to see your boat in action.

RLWhaler does nice work! I visited his shop and he really has a passion for Whalers. Your boat looks great -- another good project Richard (RLWhaler)

Keep me posted on the get together, I have waterfront property in Rockport so I get down there about once a month.

I still need to re-wire my lights. Does anyone here have any advise on how to fish out the old wires.
I rather not run them trough the rubrail insert.

Carlos,
Fishing the wires isn't a feasible solution. they were foamed in at the factory and won't come out in one piece.
