Well, Gustav has come and gone. Here in Lafayette we have been extremely lucky. Katrina passed just to our east and Rita just to our west. Gustav came right up our throats. Most of Lafayette was just to the west of the eye and some inside the eye but on the west side of it. Most of the damage was on the east side of the storm. Some of the town around here really got beat up. When I returned home Tuesday morning I had quite a few large branches down in the yard, but that's about it. One had blown out of the top of a large Sicamore beside my RV/boat shed. It flew right over the top and when it hit the ground and settled back it put a small dent in the side of the RV stall. It fell right in front of the boat shed. A little clean-up and we will be fine.
I hope all you on the east coast fare as well with Hanna. Be careful and safe and don't take any chances.
Mike
Glad to hear everything was OK at your place....and your boat was spared the wrath of the sycamore tree. Let hope that Hurricane Ike does not create problems for everyone.
