I had the same problem once, the engine would start only to shut off a short while later. Turned out to be a fuel line issue going to the carbs. Cliff 1966 13' Sport with a 1993 40hp Yamaha 2 Smoker

Member Posts: 58 Comments: 0 Joined: 11/17/07	We all need some more information to access your problem. Does the engine crank after it fails? Or is it dead, nothing happens when you turn the key? Does the engine slowly die or cut out instantly? Die at high speed/low speed? It could be as simple as an air leak in your fuel line that starves the engine then after a period fills the fuel line and you can restart.
