Yeah, i'm watching the storm too, but the latest i have is it looks like LA may get it, not Tx, however it is way to early to tell for sure.

Right now i'm not looking good for Sat as it looks like i have got to make a trip to SA. I should be back Sat night though so i may be able to do something Sun morning and early afternoon before i would need to be back. I'm also wide open Monday and Tues, so sooner or later i plan on getting some fishing in weather permitting.

John, whats your status?

Sounds good - I have your number in my phone and will give you a call while we are down. I am not sure if I can pull off a full day or not myself. We have several friends from La Grange who rent houses down there every year and I have a feeling the wife is going to shut some of my fishing down this trip. Angry

I am still good for Saturday, but Sunday works for me too. The later we wait the rougher it might get due to Gustav. What is the latest head count?

I nothing else I would be down for putting the boat in one evening and doing dinner on the waterfront somewhere. Duf - Is there something food/drink easily accessible to you and not to far if we launch at the Packery dock?

Rob, right around the corner from Packery Channel is Snoopies. You'll see it on your right (the name is in big white letters on top of the building) and is where the Whaler Central folks met back in May. Its no more then 10 mins from the Packery launch site. You can go back up to Bobs info on the May get together and get all the info you need.

Rob, i'm sure i have it somewhere, but if you would, shoot me a PM with your number, and i'll load it in the ole cell phone.

John, i can't make Sat but am good for Sunday, lets check in again via phone on Sat and discuss the wave action.

Duf - Sent you a PM with my number. My plans are all up in the air this weekend. I will be there but do not know how much time I will get out on the boat. 17 of our friends from La Grange are renting houses down there this weekend.

Duf and I took my 25' Outrage out about 30 miles on Sunday as Gustav was headed to Louisiana. Initially water was not too rough but swells began to increase and wind picked up. White caps made us turn towards Port Aransas with a few stops to troll broken weed lines and an occasional shrimp boat cull. We did not catch fish but we did catch up with Rob (Blue Northern) back at the dock in Port A for a few beers.

We will plan another outing and try to get several boats offshore.
