The Personal Pages are now up and running properly. You can upload your photos to whalercentral.com site and then insert them into your personal page by clicking the "Insert" button.

If anyone has any questions about this feature, please post your question here.

Can I transfer my photos from the "Photo Gallery" to a "Personal Page" and if so, how? Thanks,

Tony (elaelap)

Tony,
The Photo Gallery is an entirely different setup than the "Members" Personal Page and is being carried over from the original WhalerCentral.com website. You can however, copy the pages from the Photo Gallery to your computer and then upload them to your Personal Page. They must be 40kb in filesize or less so you may have to use a photo program to shrink them down.

The new Members Personal Page is a way for the member to create their own page without having to wait for an adminstrator to post the photos when they get time. The Personal Page photos can also be changed anytime the member wishes.

I have used IrfanView to edit photos and it is a great tool.

To edit pictures (shot super high quality and 1MCool I resize to 640 x 480
Question - Even when I edit size down, the file size is still too big. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The photos are all JPG.

FWIW = Most of these photos do not need to be cropped

I do see under Image/Information that you can set the Resolution. Will that help reduce file size?
