I'm having a problems with my bow light. My 2004 sport came with a Pergo light which broke due to the anchor line putting it under stress. Now have a Seasense
BOW LIGHT COMBINATION BI-COLOR (see link)

Please follow directions when posting.....

The problem is that it is very difficult to keep this light clean and functioning. I've tried to make it as waterproof as I can with silicone sealant but just the other day I noticed moisture accumulating under the lens. It looks like this light is designed to take on water. It even needs to be removed from the deck of the boat in order to replace the bulb. So you may be asking "What do you expect for $10.00"? I'm not sure.

Please advise on:
1. Do I mount the light and just coat everything with dielectric grease?
2. Do I try to keep water out ?
3. How do I prevent saltwater from corroding the inside chrome finish?

Any suggestions on another light?

Thanks,
OEY3

Protek9543 has few Bow / chock bit lights for sale. He's on vacation for a week however I think he still has a few more.

Perko makes very high quality lights.

Given that the lesser cost SeaSense light is already experiencing a failure, I would recommend going back to the Perko light.

Either your local dealer or Sue @ Twin Cities (Master Whaler dealer we all like) can provide it.
