HELP. MN fisher in Florida near Largo needs advice
I will be in Spring Hill, Florida for 10 months starting July 15th, 2008 for business.
Bringing my 2005 Boston Whaler 16 ft. Dauntless.
I don't know beans about Florida fihing, but.....
FIRST:
Would like to possibly rent a slip with lift (I don't have bottom paint) in the $175 range.
Orland Bay is my hopes. Or north of there. Must be suitable area for a 16 foot Whaler capabilities. Need parking for 1 truck. Need means of rinsing and flushing boat and motor.
SECOND:
Also, need a fishing buddy to show me the Florida ropes. I will provide boat (unless your is a cooler Whaler!) Hope to split gas, etc.
THIRD:
THe boat will be up for sale when I am there if I can find a suitable 21-23' equal.
I'm on the opposite coast so I can't help you. However, I'd recommend that you snag a Florida Sportsman fishing chart. I have used them and they are very helpful. You get locations (GPS numbers) and tips on fishing in certain areas.
