I'm looking at whalers4me photos of his Sakonnet restore. I'm intrigued by the platform...thinking about building one for the 63' Nauset. I like the wide open space it provides. But I can't really tell from the photo's, and I've never seen one in the flesh...did the original Sakonnet have a bench forward of the console under the platform? If I did install a platform in the Nauset, would it cover the bench or would I have to remove it?
