New member. We put a deposit down on a 2008 205 Conquest today and this will be our first Whaler. Although it is a 2008, it was not sold until 2010. It went straight to KY and around 2015 to Lake Erie. We have a dock on the Ohio River for it so it is going South again. The Load Rite trailer is a 2011 and was essentially only used for winter storage. I've already contracted to have the mechanicals and tires updated. Engine is a 150 Verado Digital Troll with 600 hours. 165 compression on all 4 cylinders at 1 hour. We have every service record since new which shows it has been very well cared for. From the manual, it would seem to have every option available at the time. Interior and cushions are 95%.
I've looked at it twice under the shrink wrap. Even using my bore scope to look around under the deck and bilge is clean. We will do a final inspection without the shrink wrap and water trial prior to final payment. Is there anything in particular I should look for with this model. We chose the 205 Conquest for the cuddy and head plus we can trailer it if we want. Thanks, Mike
Thanks Phil, I've added your suggestions to the contract. It will be docked in Cincy but we plan to make a trailer trip or two to to Kentucky and Cumberland lakes at some point. Maybe we'll meet sometime.
i was trying to figure out how to send you a private message but can't
there is a very similar boat like this one for sale now, April 2024. Is it the same one?
