I've got a 1986 13' Super Sport. I've seen the original stern light pole that fits down through two circular mounts on the inside of the transom. I've been searching the forums for photos of what this would have looked like (especially in 1986) and most of all, how it was wired into the boat. Did the wiring just sit in the boat and go up to the switch? It seems like that would be messy. I sort of expect it to be ran under the bumper railing on the outside of the boat, but I don't know.
Mine is missing the stern light. I want to add it back, but I would prefer to replace it with an OEM like product. Can y'all recommend what you would use if you were adding back a stern light?
As for wiring. The sternlight has a pigtail set of wires. Using a quick disconnect 2-pole connector set to connect to a 2 gang terminal block installed on the inside rear corner of the gunnel where the wires from the bow light come through from the rubrail receiver.
