Looking for a correct image of how the damper switch (thin aluminum piece) is to go securely on the Neutral Switch Assembly?
Can't find any decent photos, but it appears in the schematic to face open--aft. Mine is bent. Probably should order a new one, but what is the correct view I'm looking for?
The part number is Yamaha 663-82555-01-00 MAIN SWITCH DAMPER.
Reason: Wouldn't start, plastic fastener on neutral switch and plate came off---just need to know how it goes back on correctly please.
Learning a lot about boats----purchased a new starter switch assembly and relay so far, only to find out it was a lose wire and now this. Old parts test out fine, just can't return them.
