Trim keeps moving up on its own. It started to happen after a huge rain storm so I'm assuming the switch has water on the inside. It happens very intermittently. I sprayed an electrical approved spray inside switch and it seemed to work for a bit. Keeps happening. I removed the throttle handle but I can't move the black grip down enough to get to the switch. It pulls with the wires and seems like there's not enough play to remove the switch without breaking something. What am I doing wrong?

Little disappointed with the boat only 3 months old.

Try WD 40. That is a water dispersant.

If it still happens, take a video with your phone showing the boat doing it.

Once you have it documented, take it back to the dealer (Port Harbor or York Harbor?) and politely insist they fix it. Provide them the video.

After they say its fixed, don't take their word for it, sea trial it to ensure it is truly resolved.

Used WD-40 (blue yellow can) and so far so good after about a week. Doused it pretty good with straw applicator. No movement at all. I now wrap a small ziploc bag around the handle when not in use to prevent any water getting in. Thanks.

There is a 3 year warranty on parts so you should have dealer replace the shifter arm in the fall.

Document the problem with photos and provide to the dealer.
