2009 Montauk 170 Bow light/trolling motor wires chase
Has anyone had any luck finding the wire chase/tube from the center console to the bow light/trolling motor cavity on my year boat, or know if one even exists?
I'm trying to fish 2- #6 wires for a new 24V. trolling motor to the bow cavity so I can install a plug for the trolling motor.
I read on another forum about someone finding the plastic tube directly under the bow cleat after drilling a hole for his plug on a 2013. Then I also saw where someone with a 2006 drilled a whole under the cleat and couldn't find the tube.
I removed the bow light and the wires are secured on both ends as I was hoping to tie a piece of parachute cord to them and pull it back to the center console so I can fish the new wires back along with the bow light wires at the same time. Then I tried to use a fish tape through the cut-out in the center console but it didn't feel like there's any tube/chase there at all.
I'm trying to do my research before cutting holes in the boat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
