Gelcoat over Aluminum - Hatch Frames

The doors are made of some type of starboard material, not sure. The coating on the aluminum frames is flaking off and so I’m Trying to determine what type of coating was used in 2000. Did BW use gelcoat over aluminum, or paint or something else. Thanks. Rock Ryder
