Mahogany refinish

Member Posts: 1 Comments: 0 Joined: 03/18/21	Hello, I have a circa 1968 13' and have just finished sanding all the mahogany down to bare wood. I read in a post that it is a good idea to apply a wood bleach before staining. Would anyone have a recommendation on the bleach type, brand, etc.

Member Personal Page Posts: 357 Comments: 0 Joined: 05/11/13	Any bleach will be fine, just don't mix it stronger than 10% solution (with water). Mahogany is an open grain wood so you will need to wet it well.
