Hello forum,
My Covid project has been to restore a 1988 Montauk that I bought in a barn w/o motor or leaning post or fuel tank(s). I have completely disassembled the boat, filled a hindered holes, primed and painted all with Total Boat products. The project is about at the console wiring and seat/tank installation as the hull is finished. I like the "Taco" style leaning post but also want a Moeller (or similar) fuel tank that will fit. has anyone solved the dimensional aspects of this and can share a solution?
My pictures are too large so I will try reducing some. Attached is a style that I kind of like that I found online.

Moeller makes a tank for that boat for the RPS https://www.amazon.com/Moeller-Marine...1&th=1
Does it fit inside that seat?
Sounds like a great project and it will be a great boat for you.
