Hello,
I have a good Danforth style main anchor that I use off my bow. I would like to get a smaller anchor to use as a secondary one off the stern.
Would a 7.7lb Grapnel Anchor be sufficient just to hold the boat from pivoting around the main anchor.
Probably will use this when anchored close to a beach.

I would recommend a small Lewmar Claw anchor for the purpose you describe. They are fairly compact to store and have very good holding power for their size.

The 4.4 lbs (2kg) version would be more than adequate. You might even get away with the 2.2 lbs (1 kg) size. I use the 1 kg as primary anchor for a 12-foot sailing dinghy and it has very impressive holding power given its size - - way overkill for the sailing dinghy.

Too deep for a PowerPole? I have a 10' model and it works great.
