Is it possible to put an armstrong dive swim ladder on the transom. It would appear the bolts would come thru to the corner seat "wells". I have an armstrong ladder on my Montauk. Backing plate and bolts are clearly visible. Otherwise has anyone used another style of ladder that is effective?
My friend and commercial diver, Dave Sutton, recommend this style ladder with its angled slope. The vertical over-gunnel ladders are not functional for divers.

As long as you are putting it through the transom outboard support wood that holds the motor. If through the side where there is no wood then you will need to install a swim platform which will distribute the weight over to the transom wood. I had the exact type you are thinking about on my 1984 Outrage 22 when I owned it and it was mounted on the flat part of the transom close to the motor through the wood. The base is very small and requires a very sold mounting area.
