I would like to replace some parts on my old dauntless. Specifically the rigging tunnel aft lid and associated bits. Over the years previous owners have gunked it all up with silicone it is unrecognizable. And it leaks! I am always pumping an sponging it out. I wonder if these parts are available? Not that this will be an easy swap!
You can fabricate this as a DIY using a piece of HPDE plastic. Often you can find this material in cutting boards. Box stores often have a large selection of sizes in an off-white color.
Cut and shape using hand tools.
Predrill and bevel for screws.
For proper sealant, use a marine sealant, not an adhesive or silicone. Boat Life's Life Seal is one one product.
The cover has an opening molded in with a beckson plate. The other bits are the continuation of the wiring tunnel. Hard to describe without a picture and irrelevant if no longer available.
