The original interior was made from Mahogany.

High quality boards in the proper dimension are very expensive.

Bob Latourelle, a cabinetmaker/joiner fabricates replacement interiors that are "whaler quality" in Massachusetts. Worth considering. Many owners have praised his work.

Specialty marine also sells interior parts. I bought a hatch from them and quality is excellent.

I believe our 1981 13 Sport has the original interior. It is solid mahogany of excellent furniture quality.

Plywood substitutes made of very high quality European marine grade mahogany are a decent substitute although more care is required to make it last forty years or more. European marine grade plywood is probably at least as expensive as solid mahogany lumber.

Beware of interiors made from non-marine grade plywood unless the economies of lower price are the most important factor.

Your so right looks like the console is going to cost a little over $600 for the wood.
