Hello forum members. I would greatly appreciate help with a recent issue. After pressure washing I later noticed I am missing part of a transom scupper...the problem is, I do not know what its function is. It is not one of the two scuppers with the flaps on each side of the transom just at the waterline. On the port side of the transom, this one is outboard of the port main scupper, and just slightly above my waterline. I am missing what looks like it was a bedded plastic trim ring. There is a hole through the transom 2 1/16 diameter, and a pipe inside of this flush with the exterior transom 1 7/8 outer diameter. No threads are visible. I thought it might be a drain for the bait well, but that drains out the port transom scupper. This may be related to a deck wash down system option, which I do not have. In any case, I would like to replace what was there....I am guessing a trim ring and a flap that would prevent water entering. I dont see how the pipe butted against the fitting....perhaps a generous amount of bedding compound was used? Or perhaps the exterior fitting had a flange that entered the pipe? Thanks for your help...Im keeping this 20 year old boat going...groovin and improvin every year!
(changed to proper name of Ventura 21' for clarification)
