I had a 13 ft whaler that had a bungee cord arrangement underneath with some eye hooks. Can anyone tell me is this the same for the outrage? I do see some rivets protruding underneath the hatch and also on the forward bulkhead. If anyone has a photo of the way it is supposed to be I would sincerely appreciate it. One more question as a general rule should the thru hull drain in this compartment be open while cruising? Or just when rinsing anchor? thanks in advance, Richard F. Beady

Whaler installed them on 1989 and later years. Per LHG. The hinges were installed on the starboard side of the cover. Member Posts: 752 Comments: 4 Joined: 12/31/06	The parts diagram for the Outrage 18 dated 11/1985 shows the anchor locker cover was held in place with a shock cord and two eye straps. One eye strap was fastened to the cover with two #8x1" screws and the second eye strap was fastened with two rivets to the anchor locker forward bulkhead.
